Cronfa Glyndŵr (the Glyndŵr Trust) was established in 1963 to promote Welsh-medium education
Our aim is to make a difference.
In recent years, we have been able to offer support in the following ways.
1. Several schools and Cylchoedd Meithrin have received grants to publish attractive promotional leaflets to raise awareness of the benefits of Welsh-medium education. These marketing campaigns are reported to have been very successful.
2. Financial support has been granted to a number of Cylchoedd Meithrin to buy new equipment and resources, thus improving their image and providing a better service to the children. In some cases, it is this support that has enabled them to remain open during a difficult period.
3. Also, some individual families have been offered financial support in order to pay fees or travelling expenses. Without this support, the children would not have been able to continue to attend their Welsh-medium schools.
For more information about all these grants, please go to the Newsletter section.
We consult Parents for Welsh-medium Education (RhAG) and Mudiad Meithrin (MM), to try and ensure that our resources are directed to areas of real need, and where our intervention can actually make a difference.
